| Title: The First Season in Rhyme Author: Giles Fan Rating: G, Pairing: B/G Disclaimers: You all know who owns it, and I don't think they'd want THIS credited to their names, so I'm pretty sure I'm safe here... Explanation Most Definitely Needed! (and its longer then the "fic"!!: On the fun fanfic site, "You Got the Stones?" (http://www.four-am.com/stones/frame.html), different writers post challenges to each other. The Great and Glorious Gileswench and I were discussing the challenge to write "Stories using BtVS episode titles in them. As many as the author can fit in. " One particularly amazing fic resulted, which you can find at: http://www.four-am.com/stones/gs122a.html, where the author Ragna used every single episode title in her piece.) Gileswench, in a foolishly overconfident and self-contentedly evil way, casually said that she still intended someday to meet that challenge--and furthermore, to use all episode titles in order of appearance. Rather than scoffing at this, I gently suggested that it would be FAR too easy for a writer of her extremely great talent to merely use 130 some titles (an ever growing list of course too!) in the correct order and in a DECENT story.... For a REAL challenge she should do so in rhyming couplet.... Well, she spoke somewhat harshly to me about that idea, so to show her how easy it would be, I quickly penned this little poem for her... Anyone up for trying Season Two? Frankly, getting in "I Robot, You Jane" is about the worst title you'll have...the rest of the seasons really aren't that bad! Uh oh, did I just say that in public? (And so the epic begins...) |
